Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting their team to lift the FA Cup next weekend when they face Chelsea at Wembley Stadium, whilst some will be interested to see who they will add to their ranks in the summer.
Jose Mourinho will be wanting to improve his squad to compete across all competitions next season, however, according to reports, he has identified a teenager to help strengthen for the future.
The Daily Mail have stated that the Old Trafford outfit are in talks with Nottingham Forest teenager Matthew Bondswell. The England youth international has reportedly been offered a contract by the City Ground side, but it is believed that he has rejected the offer.
United are thought to have stepped in and are now leaders in the race to sign him with Southampton also expressing an interest, although Forest would still command compensation for the 16-year-old.
The Manchester United fans in the Tavern will be firmly aware that Bondswell is a player for the future, and they will be hoping that he delivers on his initial promise if he eventually makes the switch to Old Trafford.
However, a number of the locals in the bar will be expecting Mourinho to forget about youth additions and make key additions to his first-team squad this summer so United can compete with their local-rivals Manchester City next season.
