Manchester United target “free to leave” Serie A giants according to new manager

It’s set to be a busy season down at Old Trafford for Manchester United and Jose Mourinho, who will be under pressure to start delivering results in the Premier League.

The Red Devils were some way off the pace last season as they largely relied on the Europa League to earn Champions League qualification, which they did thanks to a win over Ajax in the final.

But finishing higher up in the league and taking control of your own Champions League destiny seems to be the priority for lots of the Manchester United fans lining the Tavern here in the pub going forward.

And lots of that will come with improving the squad over the summer months and one man that has been interesting United in recent weeks is Inter Milan forward Ivan Perisic. The Croatian international has been linked with a move to United but no move has yet to materialise- which could all change after this surprise twist.

According to the Daily Mail, new Inter manager Luciano Spalletti says that he won’t convince any players to stay at the San Siro over the summer months. Inter want around £44million for Perisic if they were to move him on over the coming months but Spalletti says he only wants players at the club that are committed to his cause.

“We shouldn’t convince anyone to stay at Inter,’ he told reporters.

“I am already convincing others to join Inter and that is the most we can aspire to do,” he added.
