Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are relieved after talkSPORT revealed that the career of Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman is not over after recent rumours hinted that it was risk.
Concerns grew after club doctor, Mario Brozzi, spoke of his concerns surrounding Strootman’s most recent knee surgery.
United fans felt that after Brozzi said the operation “did not go perfectly” that their club would end their interest in the highly rated 25-year-old.
Despite either being injured or unfit there have been countless stories linking him with a move to Old Trafford.
And it seems as though the recent news will just encourage more fuel to speculation.
As he is confident that he will be back next season and it seems as though the club doctor may be in some trouble.
Strootman wrote on his Twitter page: “Contrary to reports in the media I am back in training and working hard on my comeback.
“Please don’t believe people who have never seen me in their lives, but just follow the social pages of me and AS Roma where we will keep you updated on my progress.
“Just for the record, I’m right on schedule to be back when pre-season starts.”
