It’s been a busy day in the Football Transfer Tavern and Mail Online have even more transfer speculation for punters to get their teeth into.
The paper reports that Manchester United have been offered Adil Rami by Valencia in a £10 million deal.
It was thought that the French defender would be signing for AC Milan after he spent the second half of the season with Clarence Seedorf’s side, but it appears that the proposed transfer has hit the buffers over the transfer fee.
The San Siro giants are not prepared to meet the £10 million asking price for the 28-year-old and that could open the door for United to land the centre back.
David Moyes is certainly on the lookout for at least one central defender in the summer with Nemanja Vidic leaving for Inter Milan while it is also understood that long-serving defender Rio Ferdinand will announce his retirement at the end of the season.
Rami, who has found the net three times in his 13 appearances for AC Milan this season, is set to depart the Mestalla after falling out with officials at the La Liga club who are now planning to cash in on the Frenchman. We now wonder if he could emerge as potential target for Moyes.
Do you think that Rami would be a good signing by Moyes this summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
