Manchester United target not keen on ‘physical’ English switch

James Rodriguez1Punters in the Football Transfer Tavern look disappointed when our landlord tells them of the latest claim in Metro.

The publication seem to think that James Rodriguez will snub any offer to come to the Premier League this summer.

The Monaco star is currently hot property after a brilliant World Cup and is showing that he is one of the brightest up and coming stars in world football.

Chelsea and Manchester United had been linked with the player, however it seems that Rodriguez only wants a dream move to Real Madrid and when asked about a move to England, claimed it was a no go, at least for the foreseeable future.

The Colombia star noted: “I’ve said in the past that I’d like to play in Spain one day, because it is a league that is good technically, and where you get a lot of touches on the ball, which is my style.

He also claimed that for the time being, he felt the Premier League was a little bit too physical, adding: ‘The Premier League is maybe a bit physical at this stage.

“But I am a Monaco player and I’m not thinking about anything like that at the moment. I am now just concentrating on Brazil, which is going to be a wonderful experience for us.”
