Manchester United target not moving this summer

ronaldo.jpgReal Madrid fans are looking up with interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern with the news that Manchester United are set to be disappointed with the news from the Daily Mail that a transfer target and former star is set to remain in Spain this summer.

It has long been rumoured that Cristiano Ronaldo might be making a move back to the Premier League and more specifically to Manchester United where he enjoyed a massively successful spell and even won his only Ballon d’or. Despite this, and indeed the fact the forward claimed to be ‘unhappy’ in Spain at the start of the season, it now seems that he will stay at the club and finally feel loved if what Florentino Perez has to say means anything substantial.

Club president Perez claimed: “I am going to be as clear as possible. My aim, Cristiano’s aim and the fans aim is to make sure he carries on here as long as possible.” He further added to Marca that: “As when so many people want the same thing then it usually turns out to be the case. I myself and Real Madrid both want that. The player, Cristiano Ronaldo wants that…Without a shadow of a doubt.”

Will Ronaldo stay with Real long-term or is he headed for the Premier League next summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
