There have been lots of Manchester United supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern today for their teatime match against West Ham United.
They have been filled in on the speculation by Ben Jefferson from The Express who explains that David Moyes faces an anxious period after summer target Marco Reus issued a transfer ultimatum to La Liga champions Barcelona.
The Borussia Dortmund star could leave the Bundesliga in the summer with United very keen on landing the 24-year-old’s services.
However Reus reportedly fancies a move to Spain with Barca and he now wants the Catalan club to give him an indication that they want to sign him this season.
FIFA agent Francois Gallardo told Spanish TV channel La Sexta: “This is a player who has given an ultimatum to Barcelona.
“He expects a quick response or he will decide on another destination.
“This is a top player who was at one time a target for Real Madrid.
“That should revive the interest from those at the Camp Nou.”
Dortmund chief Michael Zorc admitted recently that the likes of Reus could leave in the near future.
He said: “We have predicted an exodus for the last three years.
“If all those who were supposed to leave us were gone we would have had to build three new teams. That has not been the case.
“We have always been able to react after the departure of an important player.
“This year, that will be Robert Lewandowski and I am confident that we will be able to compensate for his departure.”
