Manchester United target will cost AT LEAST £12m this January

vlaar.jpgManchester United fans are becoming increasingly anxious in the Football Transfer Tavern after hearing that the asking price for their number one defensive target in January has increased.

According to The Express, Aston Villa will demand that Louis van Gaal coughs up at least £12 million if he wants to buy their club captain Ron Vlaar.

Although there is frustration spreading in the tavern that the Villains are asking for more money, punters believe that they should sign the defender, no matter how expensive he is.

This is because it is imperative the Red Devils sort out their shambolic defence that has performed woefully so far this season.

However, it has become clear that the Villains have accepted losing their 29-year-old and it seems as though they are trying to squeeze as much cash out of the situation.

Although something that gives the West Midlands club some grounding to up their asking price is that although the player’s contract is set to expire in 2015, his passion for the club is obvious and it may cost the Red Devils a large sum of money to turn his head from signing an extension deal at Villa Park.

Manchester United fans. Do you agree with the punters in the tavern? Should your club sign him regardless of the asking price? Let us know your thoughts below.
