Manchester United target will not come cheap this summer

lallanaManchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are eager to hear the latest claim from the Daily Mirror.

The publication have claimed that target Adam Lallana will cost rather more than originally thought due to the sell on clause in his contract.

Of course the highly rated star currently plies his trade for Southampton, but it seems that he will not be staying there after this summer, with a host of clubs keen on securing his signature and Manchester United leading the pack.

Bournemouth are rather happy about this, with the Championship club set to receive a 25 per cent sell on clause should the England international be sold, but Southampton are keen to get as much as they can for the player himself.

The Red Devils are also keen on bringing Luke Shaw to the club – and that alone could well cost £30 million, meaning that at least £55 million will be going the Saints’ way should United manage to convince Shaw and Lallana that a move to Old Trafford is in their best interests.

Not only that, but as one of our punters notes, a good World Cup for both players could see their value rise even further.
