Manchester United to complete transfer in NEXT two weeks

Victor Valdes Manchester United fans are dying to hear just what Metro have to say here in the Football Transfer Tavern and their news is a damn sight better than yesterday.

We had thought that Victor Valdes was set to reject an offer to join the Premier League side after realising he would be playing understudy to David De Gea.

However, now Metro are reporting that the Red Devils are hopeful of a deal being completed in the next two weeks.

That could well provide a blow to Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers after the Reds offered Valdes the chance to train with them.

The Reds saw the former Barcelona keeper reject them because he does not feel the need to have a trial and prove his fitness.

As one of our punters notes at the bar whilst having a quick pint with our landlord, having a top quality back-up keeper is never a bad idea and allowing Valdes to join the club would certainly ease the pressure should De Gea get injured.

Manchester United fans. We’re sure you’d all take Valdes as your number two over Anders Lindegaard? What do you think? Let us know your thoughts below.
