Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are more than a little worried that their squad still is not as strong as that of Chelsea and Manchester City.
And according to the Daily Express, Manchester United’s hopes of signing Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria to strengthen the squad have died.
That is because Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have finally agreed a loan deal, worth around £8 million, for the Argentine.
It is believed that a loan deal has been arranged so that PSG are able to get round the Financial Fair Play restrictions.
However it is still thought that the Parisians will have to sell one big name player in order to keep within the rules.
The arrangement comes as a major blow to Louis van Gaal who was hoping to make Angel Di Maria a marquee signing at Old Trafford this summer.
The Red Devils will now have to turn their attentions elsewhere with current PSG star Edinson Cavani rumoured to be one of the names on van Gaal’s list.
