Manchester United to recoup £12m for Red Devils outcast

Nani Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are rubbing their eyes with disbelief.

As according to the Daily Star, Inter Milan are prepared to pay £12 million for Portuguese international winger Nani.

“If that figure is true it will be the shortest negotiation in a transfer ever,” quips one Manchester United fan.

But Inter boss Walter Mazzarri is intent on signing the former Sporting Lisbon winger as he looks to create a squad capable of challenging for the Serie A title.

Nani, who arrived at Old Trafford in 2007 for £20 million, only made 13 appearances for the Red Devils last season.

That’s despite David Moyes giving him a five-year deal in his first and last summer at Old Trafford – keeping him at the club until 2018.

But it looks like Manchester United could get away with that mistake as the Italian’s look to lure Nani, who scored in Portugal’s 2-2 draw against the United States on Sunday evening.
