Metro have Manchester United fans looking more than a little bit relieved here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim that the club want to sell Nani after all.
As our landlord points out, we could be forgiven for getting a little bit confused given the player himself had come out and declared that he would be back at the club and that Louis van Gaal envisaged a future for him.
However, it seems Nani was simply being a little bit too enthusiastic about his Old Trafford future.
United are reportedly looking for a buyer ahead of the summer and whilst they are slightly concerned over the £100,000-a-week wages Nani will demand, they are confident that someone will want the player.
Our resident Red Devils fanatics think that Sporting Lisbon will be first in that queue given he is currently excelling on loan at the Jose Alvalade.
Our landlord cannot help but weigh in on this debate and claim that not only do United need to get rid of Nani but Anderson also – and paid off if necessary.
Manchester United fans. Is getting rid of Nani the correct solution? Who else would you flog come the summer transfer window? Let us know your thoughts below.
