Some Manchester United fans here inside the Transfer Tavern, sinking their pints, have not been happy today since they heard the news Chelsea, and not the Red Devils, would be signing Pedro from Barcelona.
However, the Express have reports that are putting a smile back on the United Fans faces, with the news that the Old Trafford club have apparently lodged a sensational £60 million bid for Bayern Munich striker, Thomas Muller.
Louis Van Gaal has already swooped in on the Bavarian club this summer to snatch away fan favourite Bastian Schweinsteiger and bring him to the Theatre of Dreams.
And now, with the likes of Robin Van Persie and Radamel Falcao exiting the club this summer, the Dutch manager is looking to steal away another Bayern star in order to bolster his attacking options.
This bid is particularly timely, as captain Wayne Rooney has been less than impressive in the opening two fixtures of this season, with the departure of Angel Di Maria to PSG, the club have money to spend and all United fans in this pub would welcome a marquee signing like Thomas Muller.
What do you think? IS this one ever going to happen? How much might United have to pay? Let us know your thoughts below!
