Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been excited to hear the big names being linked with a move to Old Trafford since Louis van Gaal’s appointment was confirmed.
Now the London Evening Standard reckons another exciting addition could be imminent.
Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado was one of the stars of Colombia’s exciting World Cup campaign and Manchester United are said to be one of the clubs interested in securing his services.
The 27-year-old has left the door open for a switch to Old Trafford, but insists he will not be rushed into any decision regarding his future.
“I don’t know yet what will happen,” Cuadrado said. “At this moment I haven’t received any concrete offers from any club.”
“You read a lot of things in the press, but at the moment there is nothing concrete.
“I’m not in a hurry to decide my future. We’ll see what happens. Wherever I play I will try to give my best in every match.”
Fiorentina only secured full ownership of Cuadrado last month, but his World Cup performances have seen his stock rise markedly.
Juventus are also chasing a new right winger, and will rival United for his signature should he become available.
Manchester United fans. Can you see Cuadrado making the switch to Old Trafford? Would he be a success under Louis van Gaal? Let us know your thoughts below.
