The opportunity of a major transfer battle has really whet the appetite for the upcoming transfer window in the Football Transfer Tavern this evening.
The exciting news comes from regular in the bar, Metro journalist Jamie Sanderson who claims to punters that Manchester United will send scouts to keep tabs on Torino’s Alessio Cerci, who has also been targeted by Arsenal.
The 26-year-old has made a great start to the Serie A season, hitting eight goals in his 13 games for Torino this term and that has attracted attention from across Europe.
Juventus are plotting a January swoop for Cerci, but the strongest interest comes from Arsenal as Arsene Wenger assesses the different options available as the French boss searches for a capable back up to Olivier Giroud.
However reports from Italy suggest that David Moyes will be sending his scouting team to watch the striker as his team take on Genoa at the weekend as the former Everton boss looks to beef up his attack in the January transfer window.
The former Roma man, who can play on either flank or as a second striker, arrived in Turin from Fiorentina in 2012 and signed on a permanent deal at the turn of the new season.
