Manchester United will turn to city rivals should first choice goalkeeper opt to leave

The Manchester United supporters who can regularly be found drinking the night away in the Football Transfer Tavern were reasonably happy with their team last season, following the club’s success in winning the Europa League.

The Red Devils simply must do better in the Premier League however and their ardent bunch of supporters are desperate to see the team competing for the title once again.

Goalkeeper David de Gea has been the subject of large interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid and the club will need a contingency plan should he opt to return to his homeland this summer.

The landlord is flicking through the day’s newspapers to get all the very latest on the transfer rumours and he has spotted some rather intriguing news for United supporters.

The Sun are reporting that the Red Devils will turn their attentions towards Manchester City stopper Joe Hart should the current United custodian opt to depart this summer.

England’s first choice keeper has no future at City under Pep Guardiola and it would appear now that Jose Mourinho has identified Hart as a potential recruit.

This news has got tongues wagging here in the Tavern and the group of City supporters over by the pool table would be extremely disgruntled should Hart opt to leave for their city rivals.

One United fan is in optimistic mood as he puffs on his e-cigarette, stating that Hart should be signed anyway to give the club two solid goalkeepers ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.

Manchester United fans, would you welcome Hart to the club? Let us know in the comments below!!!
