Manchester United won’t sign ‘priceless’ forward

muller.jpgManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been in a gloomy mood this afternoon, after Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinze Rummenigge said ‘priceless’ Thomas Muller would never be sold.

The Mirror reported over the summer that United had launched a huge bid for the German World Cup hero, only to see their offer quickly rebuffed by the Bavarian giants.

With eight goals in as many games this season, Muller’s stock has been rising but Remmenigge declared the local-hero would never leave Bayern and compared the 26-year-old to Lionel Messi. He told Bild:

“Muller will stay at Bayern, regardless of what any club offers. There is no amount that would make us consider an offer.”

“He’s a special type, different than anyone we’ve ever had at the club, on and off the pitch. There might be players out there who have a better technique and who are faster, but there is no second Thomas Muller in this world.”

“He is extremely valuable to us. He represents the Mia San Mia (we are we) feeling at Bayern.”

In the modern era we always like to see a club valuing their players, and not selling them on like cattle, but Manchester United fans won’t agree in this sense- as they’ve dreamt of Muller’s arrival for a while.

Despite signing Anthony Martial, United lack forward numbers as Wayne Rooney is their only other recognised centre-forward, although Louis Van Gaal will claim otherwise and thrust Maruoane Fellaini into your face.

Manchester United fans, how much is Thomas Muller really worth? Let us know in the comments!
