Manchester United would be wise to pounce on city rivals for unwanted goalkeeper

The Manchester United fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern were naturally delighted to see their team claim the League Cup and Europa League during the 2016/17 campaign, although they were slightly disgruntled with the club’s league form over the past year.

After spending a staggering £150 million last summer on players it was expected that United might claim a place in the Champions League courtesy of a top four finish and not via the Europa League as it turned out.

The Red Devils were pretty disappointing over the course of the season and drew far too many games for a club that spent such a hefty amount on talent during the close season.

Given that United are a massive club it is highly likely that United will look to enter the transfer market once more this summer and a plethora of talent could arrive at Old Trafford.

United could actually look to save themselves some money during the window and sign a goalkeeper on the cheap ahead of next season, as the Red Devils prepare to lose David de Gea to Real Madrid.

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart would come at a knockdown price due to the fact that the Citizens don’t want him anymore and their city rivals would be extremely wise to try and poach the England custodian.

One United fan is sat with the landlord as he flicks through the morning newspapers and he thinks that Hart would be an exceptional signing for the club, stating that he could become the club’s number one instantly should de Gea leave this summer.

Manchester United fans, would you welcome Hart at the club? Would it bother you signing a player from City? Let us know in the comments below!!!
