Are these the ratings that prove Man United are back in the big time?

Clearly, there’s a lot more to analysing the beautiful game than merely looking at player ratings on FIFA 17. 

Still, such is the nature of video game phenomenon, the annual ratings are of huge interest to the majority of punters in the Transfer Tavern.

Following the news that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be the highest rated Premier League player on the game, the Manchester United supporting punters are grinning like Chesire cats.

While his 91 rating guarantees little in the way of actual success, perhaps it is indicative of the stellar few months upon which the Red Devils recently embarked.

After a dreadful few years for a club that size, the superstar’s Swede arrival has finally brought a blockbuster feeling back to the Theatre of Dreams.

There’s also the small matter of Paul Pogba.

Upon his record-breaking move from Juventus, it was evident that United are so much than purely a football team.

Off the field issues are equally as important to the club, with commercial and marketing avenues just as crucial in their development as true European superpower.

David De Gea and the aforementioned French powerhouse make it 3 players in the Top 10 in terms of rankings, bringing an illustrious feeling back to a club that had been down in the dumps.
