Louis Saha has revealed the two players that he would sign to enhance the quality of Jose Mourinho’s squad further, comments to have seriously intrigued the punters in the Transfer Tavern.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, the Frenchman has revealed the two players he would bring to Old Trafford to augment the standard of the team. The former Everton striker disclosed that he would sign Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane and Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
It was well known that Mourinho was hoping to make a fourth summer signing during the transfer window, yet his attempts to acquire Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan failed to come to fruition.
“I would go for Raphael Varane. Varane is a great defender and I think he would bring something special to the defence”, said the Frenchman.
“And Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, he’s very quick and he’s got the eye for the ball all the time. He’s really impressed me in the last few years.
The Red Devils are recognised as one of the favourites for the Premier League title, and the two players that Saha highlighted would certainly help the club in realising their hopes of winning the league.
Indeed, Varane has been linked with a move to Old Trafford before, having worked with Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid.
Our resident United fans will be licking their lips if they manage to sign Saha’s targets.
Raphael Varane is a defender of the greatest repute, who displays exemplary defensive quality and refined technical ability. At the age of 24, he provides invaluable experience and treasured longevity.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of the most proficient goalscorers on the planet, and he flaunts considerable threat while counter-attacking. Either of these players would seriously improve Mourinho’s team.
