Although there’s plenty of Premier League football to be played between now and then, the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are slightly worried about their trip to Liverpool on Monday.
One of the most fiercely contested games in world football, the Red Devils take on their North West neighbours, a Reds side that is hitting top form under Jurgen Klopp.
Still, reports from the Daily Telegraph have come as good news to the United fans propping up the bar.
They claim Jose Mourinho is hopeful of having summer signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan available for the trip to Anfield.
While the Armenian is yet to truly hit top form since his summer move from Borussia Dortmund, he’s undoubtedly one of the most exciting players on the continent when on song.
Recently struggling with a thigh problem, United are believed to have written to the Armenian FA in an attempt to get him left out of international duty.
That was reportedly accepted, meaning the 27-year-old could be in contention for the game.
How important will Mkhitaryan be this season? Let us know below…
