Big transfer boost for Man United despite Real Madrid interest – Report

Manchester United fans here in the Tavern are hoping that securing a second-place finish will make Old Trafford’s heroes want to carry on their legacy with the club.

Indeed, the Red Devils have certainly made improvements on the disappointment of last season under Jose Mourinho, as transfer window business has set United up nicely for a pretty much-guaranteed place in the Champions League for next season. And, Mourinho would love to keep all of his star players in an attempt to secure another Premier League title, but this may not be as easy as he’d hope with some of Europe’s vultures circling around the world’s superstars. However, our local residents here in the Tavern are now breathing a huge sigh of relief in terms of the future of David De Gea, as according to reports in the Independent, De Gea is an unlikely option for the Los Blancos side as he continues to become more settled at Old Trafford.

Indeed, the Spanish shot-stopper has been a longstanding target for Florentino Perez and the Real Madrid hierarchy, as a player that they’d love to make their big-name signing at the back in the Bernabeu. But, the attention of Real Madrid is set to turn elsewhere, as the 27-year-old is understood to be very content with life in Manchester and has gradually become more and more settled.

Old Trafford’s star has earned the title of one of the world’s best goalkeepers after years of incredible service in Manchester, that’s seen him pull off the most remarkable of saves. Indeed, the Spaniard has come to the rescue for Manchester United at multiple times this season, having played a huge part in both their league position and push for a fourth Champions League trophy.

Landlord’s Verdict:

David De Gea settling down for Manchester United will delight fans all around the globe, as the Red Devils’ most influential man looks like playing a part in the future of the club. Indeed, in terms of any success that Old Trafford may come to witness in the future, having the Spaniard in-between the sticks for years to come will be a success in its own right for United.
