It’s a body shot for the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern who’ve had to deal with jabs and jibes all season.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the future of star goalkeeper David De Gea could be cast into doubt if manager Louis van Gaal STAYS on at the club this summer.

The Spaniard is rightly considered to be one of the best in his position in world football and is one of the main reasons the Red Devils were able to mount a push on the top four.

He was strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid over the course of last summer and saw a deadline day move to the Spanish capital sensationally breakdown due to technical issues.

Though he penned a new three-year deal at Old Trafford soon after, Los Blancos are believed to still retain an interest in bringing the former Atletico Madrid man back to La Liga.

Now, the report claims the 25-year old stopper is unhappy at the prospect of another season without Champions League football at the Theatre of Dreams.

While the chances of seeing him stay again would reportedly improve if Jose Mourinho is appointed, Paris Saint-Germain are now said to have opened talks with the 53-year old.

Having been named the club’s Player of the Year for three seasons in a row, the La Roja international is thought to be one of a few players that will consider their future if the current regime is kept in place.

Do Man United have any hope at all of keeping De Gea without Champions League football?
