After a monumental summer of change, things have not quite been as easy for the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern as first thought.
Even the arrivals of Jose Mourinho, Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic haven’t instantly changed the fortunes at Old Trafford as quickly as had been expected and consequently their title odds have taken a slide even with Paddy Power’s enhanced odds.
With such a big overhaul over the past few months, the complexion of the Red Devils’ squad was hugely altered by the self-proclaimed ‘Special One.’
Now, according to a report in the Sun, it appears things could change even further.
They claim MLS side FC Dallas are keen to offer United outcast Bastian Schweinsteiger a route out of his nightmare at the Theatre of Dreams.
Despite his standing as one of the most illustrious names in the European game, the 32-year-old has struggled beyond belief on these shores since joining from Bayern Munich last year.
“He is an incredible player”, said the American side’s president, Dan Hunt.
“I always admired him and the success that his teams had. That is no coincidence, he is a winner.
“At the moment we only have space for one designated player and we wanted to fill this with a striker. Maybe it will change, we will see.”
Has Bastian been treated harshly? Let us know below…
