Club valuation revealed in interesting transfer report likely to split Man United fans

Life amongst the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern is rather rosy of late.

After smashing West Ham United 4-0 at home in the opening game of their Premier League campaign, talk of a title tilt is prevalent among the resident Red Devils propping up our bar.

So, reports from the Sun have proven rather interesting today. They claim Juventus are weighing up a shock move for Jose Mourinho-favourite, Marouane Fellaini.

The Belgian was touted with a move to Galatasaray recently, though Mourinho claimed it’d be easier to sign HIM than the former Everton midfielder. However, the report suggests the Old Lady are eager to land the 29-year-old.

Juve are thought to have identified Fellaini as a top target as they look to land a tall and strong midfield option, reportedly hoping Nemanja Matic’s strong start to life at the Theatre of Dreams can convince United to sell.

However, they are only said to be willing to pay around £22.5m for him, a fee not deemed high enough by our punters.

Landlord’s Verdict:

While Fellaini may not be the most elegant footballer in the world, few would doubt his effectiveness.

If United really are going to challenge for top honours this season, they’ll need the Plan B he brings.
