Man United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been glued to every single news outlet possible over the past few weeks awaiting the announcement of Jose Mourinho’s fourth summer signing, and it is almost here.
I have some bad news though, it’s not the one we all expected, you’ll have to wait a little longer for Paul Pogba I’m afraid.
According to reports from the Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are on the verge of completing the signing of Brentford youngster, Joshua Bohui.
The 17-year-old is set to join the academy setup in Manchester on a three-year-contract after impressing scouts by top scoring for the Bees’ youth team last season.
The winger is a graduate of the voluntary Afewee Academy, Brixton, which also boasts Liverpool and England defender, Nathaniel Clyne as one of it’s alumni.
United have been looking to bolster their youth ranks over this summer and the England U-17 is the fourth addition to Nicky Butt’s roster so far.
United fans, we know this wasn’t the deal you wanted to read about today, but, how encouraging is it too see the club investing heavily in youth once again? Let us know below…
