“Death by Boreinho” – Fans urge £45m-rated Manchester United forward to leave club

Manchester United fans in the transfer tavern have been shocked by fans of other Premier League clubs urging 20-year-old Marcus Rashford to leave Old Trafford to kick on as a player. The young Englishman has scored ten goals and assisted eight more in 38 appearances in all competitions this season for the Red Devils, however fans of other clubs believe he needs to leave to kick on as a player.

Rashford – valued at £45m by Transfermarkt – burst onto the scene under Lous Van Gaal when he was called up to the first eleven to play against FC Midtyjylland when Anthony Martial suffered an injury in the warm-up back in February 2016 and hasn’t looked back since, being a constant feature in the first team under Van Gaal and then Mourinho.

However this season the electric forward has come under criticism for not kicking on with his development into the clinical finisher that people expected. His four Premier League goals in 25 appearances this season have him scoring a goal once every 332 minutes in the competition. Compared to Anthony Martial who averages a goal every 142 minutes and Romelu Lukaku every 188 minutes it shows Rashford has been off the pace this season.

This has led to fans of rival clubs claiming that Rashford needs to get out of United and away from the rigid, defensive managerial style of Joe Mourinho if he wants to flourish into the attacking threat that he was touted to upon his breakthrough.
