Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have had to cower behind the furniture as rival fans have mocked them for the latest comments from a star signing.
The Red Devils remain heavily linked to the services of Antoine Griezmann and the speculation the Frenchman will leave Atletico Madrid this summer has risen significantly in the past few days, following comments from the striker.
Griezmann first rated his chances of leaving the Vicente Calderon this summer as 6/10, before then stating in another interview that he’s ready to leave the Spanish giants as he seeks to win big trophies and remain competitive.
Since Griezmann joined from Real Sociedad, Atletico have failed to win the La Liga title and have been defeated in two Champions League finals, which makes it understandable that he’s keen to seek a new challenge.
However, his comments about wanting to win titles have seen rival fans mock the Red Devils and our landlord has enjoyed seeing the punters in the bar struggling to find a defence for these criticisms.
that's definitely not at Manchester then!!

Don't know why people are thinking united aren't going to spend a boat load of cash this summer and compete for the title next year…
