Ahead of the crunch meeting between Liverpool and Manchester United on Monday night, the North West locals in the Transfer Tavern have been in heated debate.
One of the most fiercely contested games in world football, the Reds and the Red Devils share a long and bitter rivalry.
The two most successful clubs in England, jokes and jibes from either side are aimed at each other in the build-up to the meeting.
Though every one under the sun has been aimed at either side, perhaps a United jibe involving a certain Wes Brown is the most bizarre.
Now with Blackburn Rovers, it’s easy to forget the former England international is one of the most trophy-laden stars playing on these shores today.
So much so, in fact, that’s been used as a way of poking fun at Liverpool legend.
On today, his birthday, the fact Brown has won TWO Champions Leagues to Gerrard’s haul of one was been brought up….

Violets are blue,
Gerrard won one Champions League,
Wes Brown won two. pic.twitter.com/zdINnfsTYp
