The excitement in the air of the Transfer Tavern is palpable as Sky Sports‘ La Liga expert Guillem Balague reveals Real Madrid would be open to selling reported Manchester United and Chelsea target James Rodriguez this summer.
The Colombian playmaker, widely regarded to be one of the best in the world, is believed to have fallen out of favour with Los Blancos over the past few months.
Having earned a move to the Spanish capital following his heroic performances in the 2014 World Cup, he has found his playing time increasingly limited under Zinedine Zidane.
Recently, the former Monaco man’s father announced he believes the World Cup winning Frenchman is having a negative impact on his son’s career at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Now, Balague has revealed the Spanish giants ARE open to selling the gifted midfielder at the right price.
‘All I can say is that Real Madrid are more than happy to sell him… if they get the right amount of money’, wrote the La Liga expert in his weekly online column.
Both English sides are in desperate need of marquee names this summer after hugely disappointing seasons. Though both are set to miss out on the Champions League, they are expected to embark upon major summers of transfer activity in preparation for next term.
Where would you rather see Rodriguez wind up? Chelsea? Manchester United? Why?
