Follow Blind: These 2 stars should look to leave Man United too should Dutchman depart

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United are open to the idea of selling Daley Blind this summer amid interest from former club Ajax in the utility man.

Amsterdam-born Blind came through the ranks at the Johan Cruyff Arena and established himself as one of the stars of the team before making his big move to Old Trafford in 2014, following an impressive World Cup campaign.

Blind’s versatility and hard-working nature has proved as useful as his technical prowess during his time with Manchester United, but last season the Dutchman struggled for game time.

Now the time appears to have come for Blind to move on from the Red Devils, and a return to Ajax looks on the cards.

Blind is not the only player whose career could be reinvigorated by leaving United this summer.

Luke Shaw

When Luke Shaw secured his dream move to Old Trafford as a teenaged sensation in 2014 he could never have foreseen it panning out like this.

Four seasons later and the left-back has failed to claim a regular starting spot, has lost his place in the England set up, and has suffered a brutal string of injuries.

Add to that Jose Mourinho’s public critiques of his character and weight, and it looks as though an escape from Old Trafford would be the best thing for Shaw at this point.

At 22, his career has time to recover, but the longer he remains in red the harder that revival gets.

Shaw is valued at £13.5 million by Transfermarkt, but given how out of favour he is at Old Trafford, it’s possible he could be got for less.

Anthony Martial

A player of Martial’s quality deserves to have teams built around him, not to be sat on the bench week in week out.

For whatever reason, Martial doesn’t appear to be part of Mourinho’s plans and the emergence of Marcus Rashford alongside the acquisitions of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez makes it plain that things aren’t about to change.

Martial has already lost his place in the France squad, but a move to a club that will put him front and centre again will soon see him back in the Les Bleus picture.

His valuation of £58.5 million on Transfermarkt suggests it’ll take a huge offer to prise Martial away from Manchester though.
