Manchester United are hoping that the uncertainty surrounding Jose Mourinho’s future at the club can be silenced by a surprisingly successful season.
The Red Devils have already been written off by many and if there was one team you don’t write off, it would be United.
Manchester United are one of the most successful teams in the world and they still have a great squad of talented players to choose from ahead of another Premier League season.
Having made a few noticeable additions during the summer transfer window, the Red Devil’s will feel strong despite a shaky start to the season. One player certainly looking to impress is Brazilian midfielder Fred, who arrived at Old Trafford instead of joining Man City.
Fred, who is valued at £45 million on Transfermarkt, is a dynamic midfielder that was a huge coup for United seeing as his reputation in football is starting to glow. Like a typical samba star, Fred has an abundance of trickery and skill on the ball, pace and the ability to get forward as well as helping out defensively.
Manchester United already have a number of talented midfielders and ones that could now see their place in the team disappear now that Fred has made his arrival at Old Trafford.
A prime example of a player who could struggle to keep his place is Ander Herrera.
The Spanish midfielder has been a key player ever since coming to England but now with stiff competition for places due to Fred’s potential, it seems he could be the one to miss out on first-team action.
The Brazilian was a big investment by Jose Mourinho and the club, meaning it’s likely he will be entrusted to live up to that potential, in the place of the unfortunate Ander Herrera.
Would you rather play Fred or Herrera… Let us know!
