French powerhouse open to huge Man United move, manager reveals it could happen

Though the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are seemingly all Paul Pogba experts, there’s little doubt that rumours and reports regarding his return have become repetitive.

So, amid the swathes of stories surrounding his switch, one of the more eagle eyed punters has discovered a rumour that ISN’T to do with the 23-year old.

Just one of his teammates.

According to reports in the Sun, Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi remains on the Red Devils’ radar and is open to the prospect of a Premier League move.

He had been linked as a potential backup should his compatriot’s move breakdown, though Jose Mourinho could ultimately end up welcoming both to the Theatre of Dreams.

Unai Emery, who has just taken over as manager in the French capital, has reportedly suggested the box-to-box powerhouse could indeed leave the Ligue 1 champions this summer.

With doubts over the long-term futures of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Juan Mata, the Les Blues international could help plug gaps in the engine room.

Would Matuidi be worth the money? Do Man United need any more midfielders after Pogba?! Let us know below…
