Chelsea and Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been warned by our landlord that they face a huge test to secure the services of a highly-coveted star this summer, following reports he’s read this morning.
Spanish outlet Don Balon states Manchester United and Chelsea face competition in the transfer market for the services of Monaco’s influential midfielder Bernardo Silva, as Spanish giants Real Madrid are also in the hunt for the Portuguese ace.
Silva has been one of many stars to impress during the French principality side’s push to the Champions League semi-finals, where they’ll battle-it-out with Juventus for a spot in the showcase final in Cardiff’s Millenium Stadium.
Whilst the Premier League pair are keen to add Silva to their ranks, their chances of a deal have been handed a blow as the report adds that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has already held initial talks regarding a deal for Silva.
Our landlord believes Real Madrid are almost-certain to win the race for Silva, as he feels both Premier League sides will struggle to compete in the market.
Would Bernardo Silva be right to snub the Premier League for Real Madrid? Let us know in the comments below!
