Following the loss to Arsenal over the course of the weekend, the Manchester United fans drowning their sorrows in the Transfer Tavern really could do with some cheering up.
The Europa League is all that remains to play for in United’s first season under Jose Mourinho and the Red Devils who frequent in their droves are fully expecting another busy summer of transfer activity.
Well, according to the Daily Telegraph, they could be in for exactly that. They claim the Old Trafford giants are in ‘pole position’ to sign England international Michael Keane this summer, following his impressive season with Burnley.
Keane played in the same Man United youth teams as Paul Pobga, another player let go for pittance years ago and brought back to the club at great expense.
Still, money really is no issue to United and the punters in the bar believe the England star really would improve the squad.
