‘He’ll score 100 goals this season’ – Man United fans roar in support for under-fire star on Twitter

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping their side will return to winning ways when they face Newcastle United in the Premier League this Saturday…

Jose Mourinho will have been bitterly disappointed to come away from Stamford Bridge with nothing prior to the international break, and he will be eager to bounce back with a win and keep within touching distance of Manchester City. United’s chances of claiming 3 points this weekend would certainly be boosted by a return to goal-scoring form for Romelu Lukaku, who has now gone 4 league matches without a goal.

Considering Lukaku’s tremendous record for the club after just 3 months at the club, his recent run represents something of a goal-drought and he will be eager to end his dry spell this weekend.

Lukaku should be full of confidence this weekend after a monumental week for the Belgian in which he became his countries top-goalscorer after his 31st goal for the national side.

And Manchester United wasted no time in congratulating their star-striker via their Twitter page…

The Red Devils on Twitter were relatively mixed in their response to the club post as the Belgian continues to divide opinion at Old Trafford.

The vast majority were full of praise for Lukaku’s achievement at such a young age, whilst a handful were insistent on criticising his recent form for United.

Here’s how the fans reacted to the club’s post…
