Injury boosts provide yet more good news for Mourinho and Man United fans

Things are looking pretty rosy for the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern right now.

Top of the pile under Jose Mourinho, our resident Red Devils are finally able to dream about a genuine title tilt for the first time since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.

With the likes of Paul Pobga, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic all impressing thus far, the United-mad punters propping up our bar have been handed another boost, this time from the Manchester Evening News.

They’ve revealed that BOTH Luke Shaw and Ashley Young have ramped up their respective returns from injury in a clash with Swansea City.

Both have been deployed at left-back by Mourinho during his tenure, so having them back in contention will be a huge boost, with Daley Blind currently occupying the berth.

Indeed, the pair are understood to have played 58 minutes in the 1-1 draw and their returns could reportedly come sooner than the Portuguese may have initially thought.

As you can imagine, our Man United fans in tonight are very happy indeed.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Though neither have always convinced, having them back available will only strengthen Mourinho’s cause.

If he manages to get Shaw back on track, he has probably one of the best left-backs in the league at his disposal.
