Man United find themselves in a real spot of bother at the moment, something only a substantial war-chest would solve this summer. The banter era continues, guys.
Indeed, trouble in recent weeks has come about through United’s thoroughly abject performances and that is something Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had difficulties correcting. To be fair, it’s been a problem they’ve failed to deal with for quite a few years now.
It’s fair to say that right now, the Red Devils are far from the big side they were once considered and need significant signings to help them improve quickly.
Of course, they still have the fantastic lure they always have done and that leaves them with a fantastic chance at securing the services of some top players. The likes of could include Benfica’s Joao Felix, the latest wonderkid taking the world by storm.
Felix, (who is valued at £31.5 million on Transfermarkt) is one of the world’s best youngsters right now and someone that United would obviously be interested in, not to mention the prior success United have had with a young Portuguese talent. And no, that isn’t Bebe.
The forward has really played his part in Benfica’s campaign, as he’s scored 18 goals and provided a further nine assists in all competitions. Linked with a move to the Theatre of Dreams by the Daily Mail earlier this week, signing him would be a major statement for a club struggling to get going right now.
At just 19, Felix definitely has the star quality to fit in at Old Trafford and could make all the difference next season. Just imagine him alongside the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, if they were to get their act together.
United are usually renown for their attacking quality but this season hasn’t quite been true to that statement.
That’s why his arrival is not only wanted but very necessary as his ability in front of goal is something that right now, United are missing.
