Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern will be eagerly looking towards the summer window, as talks of a summer overhaul of the club gain momentum day by day. Furthermore, it could all start with the French starlet Anthony Martial.
Reports are breaking around the bar that a host of Premier League clubs are interested in the French winger, after it seems relations with Jose Mourinho have broken down more so since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in the January window.
In what could be a huge transfer deal, the Red Devils are looking to offload Martial abroad in order for the winger not to come back to haunt them in later years and our regulars are not exactly excited at the thought of it. However, the main focal point for French star Martial, a player that surely the United fans wouldn’t want to lose so early on in his career, after a sparkling start to his Old Trafford life, is more game time.
Indeed, it will take an exciting player to replace the French international, and our barman feels like Mourinho should look to bring back this former United player to fill the gap…
OUR VERDICT – Wilfried Zaha
The Crystal Palace winger has been in sparkling form this season and is one of the main reasons behind Palace’s recent Premier League survival.
Although he didn’t quite make the grade at Old Trafford first time around, a decision to opt for a return back to Old Trafford could now pay off for the winger, who is older and more experienced.
Following a string of outstanding performances in the Premier League since his move back down south, the Ivory Coast international is looking back to the majestic talent that could earn him a move to United for the second time of asking.
A move to the Red Devils would see Zaha make the step up in level once again and you’d think this time he’d be better prepared to fully take his chance.
