Good heavens. It finally happened. The Transfer Tavern has ERUPTED as you can well imagine.

Manchester United’s dark voyage into the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era has been treacherous that has seen the once dominant force of English football tumble down the league.

David Moyes and Louis van Gaal have struggled to replace the legendary Scot and have found the vacuum created since his seismic departure to be too vast to handle.

However, on Thursday 26th May 2016, the Red Devils made a move that will likely go down as a pivotal moment in the history of the club.

For according to Sky Sports, Jose Mourinho has finally be appointed as manager at Old Trafford.

It’s a move the world has well expected for a number months now, though doubts persist over whether or not the pair are a natural fit.

That is something we’ll have to wait and see, with today being all about his massive move to the Theatre of Dreams.

Talks are understood to have concluded with Ed Woodward and the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ is thought to have now signed a deal to take over from his former mentor.

Such is the nature of this blockbuster pairing, sensational developments are sure to follow.

Will Mourinho beat Pep Guardiola to a league title in his first year at Manchester United?
