Long-term contract reportedly agreed ahead of another Man United deal

With Jose Mourinho’s rebuild at Manchester United moving on at breakneck speed, the Red Devils propping up the bar are delighted to see the Portuguese finally sorting out a squad that has looked oh so bloated for years now.

Morgan Schneiderlin has already been sold to Everton as the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ continues to make room at Old Trafford and L’Equipe suggest Memphis Depay’s potential move to Ligue 1 outfit Lyon has taken a step closer.

The Dutchman is widely expected to join Les Gones this month and the story today suggests the 22-year-old has agreed a long-term contract to move to the Stade OL. Since joining United, the Oranje international has struggled to justify the big money fee Louis van Gaal splashed out on him in 2015.

He’s reportedly been made a priority by the Ligue 1 side and while no deal has yet been reached, it seems Depay himself is open to a move.

Our drinkers believe the Holland star has a big future in the game and reckon moving to France will help the ex-PSV Eindhoven ace regain focus, should a deal with Lyon soon be agreed.

How big a flop has Depay been? Let us know below…
