Major transfer news for Man United as superstar reportedly tells teammates of intentions

The seemingly imminent arrival of Alexis Sanchez has delighted the Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern no end and many of them are now dreaming of a major assault on the Champions League. Indeed, now it looks like they’ve beaten bitter rivals Manchester City to the Chilean, life is good amongst our resident Red Devils.

Well, it’s about to get a whole lot better. That’s because our drinkers have just discovered reports emanating out of Spain in regards to a certain club legend, Cristiano Ronaldo. According to ASthe Portuguese superstar is eager to leave Real Madrid after a falling out behind the scenes in the Spanish capital and reportedly wants a return to Old Trafford.

Ronaldo, one of the greatest players to ever grace the field, enjoyed a six-year spell at the Theatre of Dreams and won all there is to win in the game prior to his £80m switch in 2009, he is said to have told teammates he wants a return to Manchester.

While the 32-year-old has struggled to replicate his own stunning standards this term, the idea of him coming back to United has proven seriously exciting for our resident Red Devils.

Landlord’s Verdict:

We don’t see it happening. Ronaldo barely enjoys the best relationship with Jose Mourinho and the notion of him moving back to Old Trafford comes up now and again in an attempt to drive his wages up with Los Blancos. United must move on from Ronaldo, who has looked tired this season after a decade of pure excellence.
