Man United aiming to rectify yet another transfer blunder

Having watched their club bring Paul Pogba back at ridiculous expense, the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been left a little red-faced.

While the Red Devils have obviously landed one of the best midfielders in the world, the fact they let the Frenchman leave for a nominal fee four years ago is rather embarrassing.

Not that Ed Woodward cares.

Well, according to the Sun, United could be at it again.

They claim Jose Mourinho is plotting a shock move to bring Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater back to Old Trafford.

The England international progressed through the club’s academy, though never played a senior game for the Manchester giants.

After a stunning season with the Foxes, in which he played a major role in their Premier League title win, Mourinho is said to be keen on a £30m move.

He penned a new deal in the East Midlands over the course of the summer, though is reported to be open to the idea of a blockbuster return to his boyhood charges.

Would Drinkwater be a sensible signing for Man United? Let us know below…
