Man United and Arsenal to reignite interest in star as Barcelona put forward up for sale

It’s not everyday your club is linked with having a good chance of landing a Barcelona player, so we’ve forgiven the Arsenal and Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern this evening for dancing on the tables.

That’s because, according to the Sun, the Premier League pair have been put on red alert as it becomes increasingly likely that Barcelona will be willing to part with Arda Turan this summer.

The Turkish forward arrived at the Camp Nou last summer, though was unable to make his debut for the Blaugrana until January of this year after their FIFA ban from registering new players.

Still, the former Atletico Madrid can has failed to recapture the sort of form he showed in the Spanish capital with the Catalan giants and could be made available for transfer.

Both the Gunners and the Red Devils have been linked with moves for the 29-year old, who cost the La Liga champions £28m last year.
