Man United dealt further colossal blow as top target nears MLS move

There’s been a major blow for the Manchester United fans propping the bar in the Transfer Tavern this Friday evening. Not the greatest start to their weekend then.

While the Red Devils risk their worst ever season in the Premier League, the thought of major arrivals over the course of the summer has been one of the notions keeping the locals in our famous four halls going.

Jose Mourinho. Zlatan Ibrahimovic. It all promised so much.

Well, with the pendulum that is Mourinho’s potential move to Old Trafford in perpetual motion and constantly unclear, they now look to be missing out on superstar Swede too.

According to Sky Italia journalist Alessandro Alcieto (via ESPN), the 34-year old is thought to be favouring a move to MLS side La Galaxy upon the expiration of his deal with Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Despite his advancing years, the forward has strongly been linked with the Manchester giants after a stunning season in the French capital and remains one of the premier talents in world football.

However, he is now believed to be keen to move to America, as many other top players have done towards the end of their careers.

David Beckham is perhaps the most high profile, while the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Steven Gerrard and Kaka have all followed suit.
