With the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern having to deal with injuries all season, they really don’t need any more bad news on that front.
Well, ahead of the season-defining Europa League final in just two days time, the Red Devils around the bar have been greeted with some rather unwelcome ailment news emanating out of Holland.
Jack van Gelder at Rondo Ziggo Sports told their TV show (relayed here by Voetbal Primeur) that United star Paul Pogba has been playing with a hamstring injury for the last EIGHT weeks.
The Frenchman – who is yet to wholly convince following his world record move from Juventus this summer – was taken off at half-time against Crystal Palace on the final day of the season in order to rest up for the meeting in Stockholm.
“He played with it Sunday against Crystal Palace and it went well. But he’s been eight weeks under treatment at a Dutch physiotherapist Leo Echteld,” Van Gelder told Ziggo.
As you can well imagine, the United faithful here in the bar are desperately hoping their world record man is fit and firing for the final.
