It’s a huge night for the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern, ahead of their Europa League final tonight.
The Red Devils around the bar know their clash with Ajax in Stockholm tonight almost entirely defines their season as they battle to qualify for the Champions League.
So, it’s fair to say the United supporters propping up our bar are a tad nervous.
Which is why reports from the Sun have proved oh so welcome today. Not only have they taken the punters’ minds off of tonight, they’ve also revealed some good news about Marcus Rashford.
According to their report, the England international is in line for a bumper new deal after yet another wonderful season.
While he only penned a new deal last year, that four-year contract is understood to see him rake in a cool £30k-p/w. Due to incremental rises included in that contract, the 19-year-old will reportedly see his weekly wage rise by £10k.
Top brass at Old Trafford are thought to have told Rashford he’ll only continue up the wage structure.
United will also apparently review his contract in 12 months should he continue on the upward trajectory that’s made him such a fan favourite in the Tavern.
Thanks to his goalscoring prowess of late, it’s hard to argue he doesn’t deserve it.
