Man United finally handed some good news on injury front

Despite a reasonably strong week for Jose Mourinho’s men, the Manchester United fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern are rather down in the dumps.

Injuries to the likes of Paul Pobga and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will make the end of the season run-in far more difficult than many would have thought, though the Red Devils in the bar may have finally been handed some good news on that front.

Writing on his personal website, United star Juan Mata has suggested he could make it back in time to play between now and the end of the campaign. The Spaniard, a crucial member of the side this season, has missed the last seven games after having groin surgery, though looks to be hoping to return.

”I’m feeling much better now and I hope to be back with the team soon, to try to help in the last spell of the season”, he wrote.

He’ll miss the Manchester derby, though could be in line for a return next month, which may serve as a huge boost to the club’s Europa League chances.

While the former Chelsea man wasn’t given much of a chance at the start of the season, considering his past with Jose Mourinho, Mata has become a huge part of the club’s setup, so this is wonderful news for Red Devils all around the world.
