Man United have ’50-50′ chance of landing £100m world star, pushing ahead with huge deal

When Paul Pogba left Manchester United back in 2012, the punters in the Transfer Tavern mocked the Frenchman for his perceived cockiness in asking for big money.

However, fast forward a few years and those very same drinkers have been praying for his return.

So, glasses have been raised following reports from ESPN that the Red Devils were plotting ahead in what could be a record breaking deal to lure him back to Old Trafford.

Juventus are believed to have quoted the club up to £100m for the 23-year old, though that hefty price tag is not thought to have instantly put United off.

According to the report, the club have a ’50-50′ of luring the French powerhouse back to the Theatre of Dreams, despite Real Madrid’s interest in the Les Blues star.

United’s quest for a global star has been a treacherous one, with under-fire chief executive Ed Woodward struggling to secure a truly huge deal since his arrival in 2013.

Would Pogba really be worth £100m?
